So I finally made some time to install my Blue Sea fuse block. This was so much easier than I was thinking it would be. Actually only took about an hour start to finish.
First off I had to find me a good grounding spot. Just infront of the hood shock there are two bolt holes and I had a bolt that fit perfectly. check that one off.
Next I made a mounting bracket out of some 20 guage steel and mounted it just infront of the brake unit. Basically it's shapped like a double J hook and bolted to the wheel well some 2 stainless steel grade 302 screws and nuts.
I mounted the block to the bracket with one 3/16" rivet in the center and a self tapping screw on each end the cut the extra off so there would be room for the mounting bolts themself.
Using some brown and orange wires, (it was free) I decided to use the orange for the + and brown for the -. I wrapped the neg with black heat shrink tubing around the terminals as well.
From there it just basic wiring and making up your mind on what location you want to fuse.
Lastly I pulled the power cable from the block around the main fuse center, up around the battery and heat shrinked both ends of the + cable also.
Flipped my switches and bingo, we have lift off!
