Bluetooth audio not working?

On my older 2014 Audi, my phone would just connect to bluetooth then music would play. This doesn't happen in the 2020 4runner - any way to get it going?

The bigger issue is that it seems music information is Not streamed, which is kind of just really annoying. The whole "now playing" section on the display just has everything blank.

I've got a Pixel 4 that's fully up to date and I use Spotify

I concur, restart your phone. Sometimes the BT takes a liking to something else and gets stuck in a loop.

FWIW. New 2020 Limited with Iphone 6.

My BT still works but it's asking for an update to the etune app.

I asked Toyota about it and they said
"We have moved away from the Entune™ branding. To properly activate your Toyota Owner’s account and Connected Services features (i.e. Remote Connect), it must be done through the Toyota app. Please follow the steps below to activate your account:"

Bunch of knuckle heads at Toyota SW.

Also if you have two phones the other one may be taking up the connection. That's happened to me with personal and work phone in the cab at the same time.

Just my one phone. I restarted, still no change. It reliably connects every time but no info displayed and no auto-start to playing music.

:( :( :(

On my 19, with android 10, my BT will work some times and not others, but with android 9 it was fine. Toggling BT off then on works to establish connection again. Also, with Youtube music I get no song title info, but with Pandora and Play music I do. At times, even connected, the audio plays back at a slower bit rate, causing me to disconnect and reconnect to fix.

Works like a champ in my ‘14 with my iPhone 11 Pro. It starts playing the last thing the phone connected to it was playing when we crank it and go.

It can actually be problematic if I was connected to it last and I’m on the phone in the house when my wife heads out. The call flips over to the 4Runner and I have to scramble to get BT disabled to get the call back.

GL getting this figured out. Could be related to your phone and not just the truck.
