yeah I don't think it lets you do much while you are driving. I guess that is what the voice dial thing is for. Although that takes longer than pulling over and making a call ha
I may be wrong but I believe you can use the speed dial when driving.
has anyone been on the phone while getting in their 4runner? I thought I had lost them and then all of the sudden they came over the speakers ha. Weird feature if you ask me.
How about when you are warming up your 4R outside of work and you answer your cell but do not hear anyone.....yeah....they are talking to the ghost in your new car! I have been impressed with the range on the BT, but also annoyed by it as well. I just turn BT on/off as needed.
This happened to me the other day when I was following my wife (she was driving the 4Runner). I kept trying to call her, but the 4R was set to my phone and my phone's Bluetooth was on and we couldn't hear each other. After the third attempt, I figured out why it was happening ...
can't on mine limited
FYI
When voice dialing, you don't have to wait for the lady to say all the options to speak the next command. Simply press the voice button again and say your next command. You can do this for all screens. This improves the time to place your call
You can also change the setting so that the voice guidance doesn't repeat/read every command on the screen. That saves a lot of time I find. It will just show you the commands and beep.
and how do you do that?
Hit setup button
voice
voice recognition guidance
Turn off and save
