Is there a preferred scanner for my '03 that also reads the SRS codes? I see a lot of folks like the Torque app but is says nothing about being able to read the SRS codes. My airbag light went on right after I mounted my Maglite on the passenger side transmission hump. There didn't seem to be any wires there so I don't know what happened. I found a few on Amazon but was wondering if anybody else has one that they prefer.

I actually just ordered that item. Should have in the next couple days and plan to try it out on my 2007 4runner. Based on the reviews and research I would say it has a good chance of reading SRS codes but I know most scanners out there do not read SRS codes--or if they do, they are unable to clear those codes.
Cool. Make sure you post up about it after you try it out. I don't have much in the way of money anymore so I need to do things right when I buy stuff. I like the description on what it does and it says it reads SRS codes so it should be good. Best of luck to you!

Received the Bluedriver module and had a few minutes to test it out. I don't have any error codes right now so it was of limited use in that regard for now. It does read some live data info but no trans temp monitor yet.
I also have older handheld monitor that connects scanner to OBD2 port via cable. It works well too but it's nice to have just a small module like this to bring along for diagnosis. Connects easily to smartphone.
For SRS diagnosis, I contacted tech support and they stated the unit should read and clear SRS airbag codes (but I can't actually confirm by testing).

Curious to know your thoughts on the value for spend on this... Ive read a few reviews that say Bluedriver is good... but Im wondering if its really worth the $$? Would be interested in a more in depth review once you've tried it out.

wouldnt a tech stream clone cable for $25 be much cheaper and much more powerful tool for 1/4 of the price??

I bought the Foxwell NT530 I think with the Toyota download so I could read a wheel speed sensor and some other things on a different car. It's supposed to do SRS too.
I see the Bluedriver one below lists SRS on Amazon, not sure why the year of the car would matter. If it doesn't work send it back.

If you aren't set on Bluetooth, then I feel some cabled ones may do it. I have a Bosch 1300, allegedly it'll read Airbag codes in Toyotas up to 2015, thought I haven't had a need for that yet, so I cannot confirm. The Bosch 1350 (one up) seems to be the better deal with more features and lots of reviews talking about Airbag codes... However, they don't mention the T4R specifically.
