Has anyone used the USA Spec bluetooth system yet? I was wondering about the sound quality and whether it was worth getting or not. Maybe there is a better option out there?

I have tried the USA Spec unit on my 05 4runner limited with JBL and had issues. It would work great for about 10 minutes then would cut out and become non-existent to the stereo until the key was turned off, then back on. I called tech support several times and they were not able to help me figure out the issue. They told me to removed my stereo and send it to them and if they had time they would look into it. I returned the USA SPEC unit and ended up trying the GROM BT unit and it works flawlessly. I wish I would have tried that first and saved myself some aggravation.

Mine worked fine until a month or so ago when it failed. I won't buy one again.

Do you have to head unit that holds 6 cd's?

I can say that in comparison the Bluetooth for the phone sounds much better with the GROM then the USA Spec unit.

I put the Bluetooth version in my 2004 about a year ago and we've been very happy with it. Sounds great and automatically connects to my iPhone every time. It can get confused when my wife and I both get in with our iPhones since we both use it, but then you just have to re connect through the iPhone settings to connect to the desired one. Turn the stereo power button off and on quickly and it automatically resumes playing music from the iPhone where it left off. Hands free phone also works great without any problems. Prior to the Bluetooth version I had a corded one for music that worked great with an iPod plugged into the main power connection port or iPhone connected with a headphone cord. Both USA Spec.
