Body Mounts Question

So While I was installing the airbags recently I noticed the body mounts particularly the mid body ones right under the feet of the second row...
Think these are affecting the ride some? Should I replace them?

Just thinking out loud...is there supposed to be a GAP for "articulation" of the body when off-roading?? someone help me out here.
Thanks,
Fernando

commonly brought up topic. They are supposed to look like that. I doubt its for articulation. If the body moved that much you would have major issues. These are not jeep cherokees :)

No worries. If you replace them they will look the same

My CBI rear has about 1" gap, but has actually hit my body and dented the underside of the quarter panel and chipped off some paint.

I was thinking body mounts. That much movement doesn't sound right...

frame flex. Sounds right to me. My bumper has dented in the sides of the hatch from rubbing. The frames on these trucks really move quite a bit, so maybe you can use up all the gap in those mounts.

Thanks money$$$,
It's good to know it's normal. I am wondering though if replacing all the other mount bushings will increase the ride comfort "some"??

I was rolling around under my '99 the other weekend and I noticed the same weird a$$ mounts on mine. To confuse things even more, apparently '96 Runners don't even have this bracket at the B-piller. You can buy brackets from Roger Brown to bolt on the frame. This brings up the total number of body mounts from 8 to 10. After seeing the factory one though...why bother? I will be adding my 1" BL soon and I didn't bother buying new poly mounts 'cause by OE rubbers were still intact.
