the 4runner has 2 different routes it Could go down. Either I turn it into a full-out crawler or I do a body swap and keep it as a badass daily driver. I'm leaning towards doing a body swap because this truck has been in my family since 1989. It was a gift from my father to my mother when they were dating. There's no way in hell I'm letting this truck go. Hell, i still have a grand in suspension work on its way here to my house right now that i ordered.

My question though. How much does a new cab run? How much should i be expecting to spend here? All the electronics still work. Everything is still there. The body is no good. (Obviously) needs a new steering wheel, and a new oil cap. Thats it. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I'd be on the lookout for a nice body with a blown up 3.0 in it, seems like it would be a decently cheap way to go and you'd get lots of extras to sell off or have spares when you're done.

The body swap is the way to go. It's really easy just take your time and a lot of pics just in case you need to reference them on the reassemble. I did the same thing to mine last year. Just me and my brother mostly. I'm doing another one now with all my left over parts for a new young wheeler. I live just south of you in corona and our local Craigslist has a cheep non running 1st gen in it almost all the time. Good luck if you need any advise or something message me and I'll send you my number.
