Body swap?

Any direction on this would be helpful. I have an 88 4runner that is has 144k and going strong. I want to do a SAS to it but I am a cheap ass. I am about to get a 84 4runner that is assed out something fierce (body has pretty good rust, auto looks like rats have lived in it for a while, etc)
The frame is in perfect shape. Would it be possible just to swap out the frames? Would it be just that easy or am I missing something.

Bodies are the same, so swap is easy.

However, the '84 should have a 22R while the '88 should have a 22RE, if so, that will complicate things a little.

How is that going to complicate things, Can't i just pull the motor and trany from mine and drop it in?
