Books on Tape

I spend almost all of my time in the 4R commuting, listening to recorded books. I download them from my local library onto a WMA device and listen to them through a headset. And there's the rub. The books are only available in WMA format. iPOD's are not an option.

I'd love to be able to listen to the books through the 4R speakers, but there don't seem to be any non iPOD options available to do this.

I'm listening to voice recordings, so sound quality is not a huge issue. Is there a decent module that plugs into the cassette deck via a standard headset cable that will meet my needs?

If not, does anyone have any other suggestions?

check out audible.com - lots of excellent audio books available on this site for reasonable monthly subscription prices, but it is their propriety format. I listen to their audio books on my ipod plugged into the aux input in my 4R. You can choose many other devices to play audible books on other than the ipod.

Another option is Gold Wave. This program will convert many audio formats to MP3.

I subscribe to audible.com and get any two books I want each month for $20/ month. Easier than driving to the library, bigger selection too.
