So I just installed a TRD gen 2 supercharger. And well I'm 99% sure no more v8 swap ideas in my head now (at least for this yota)
Still waiting to install urd 7th injector. Have all the lines ran just to lazy to hook the ecu up with all this rain.

Any recommendations on where to mount my a/f-boost gauges? Was thinking about hacking my center vents up since I never use them. I'm not a fan a pillar gauges.

I was hoping by "boosted" you meant supercharged and not stolen. Looks nice, maybe if I ever decide to get a lead foot and leave my grandpa style driving I'll look into one of these. It definitely helps the feng shui of the engine bay haha.

Did you get a crazy deal on the blower? From the costs I've been looking at its about 4k to supercharge with new parts, with it used I'd imagine you're still looking at about 2k. At 300k i don't know if I could dump that money into it, but if you're confident in the engine and tranny and have that money why not. I would love to supercharge mine but don't know if I could justify the price.great for you to be able to do that, I'm curious to see how long it lasts.

Let's just say the price I paid would make anyone very jealous. And I did compression tests on my motor, neighbors motor with 100k less miles, the Tacoma the sc came from, and the fiancés runner, I was very surprised mine was higher then them all. The main thing I'm worried about is my trans I've never done any maintenance to it.

I mounted my boost and wideband gauges under my ashtray. Here's a couple pics:

The wideband gauge is just peeking out, but it gives you an idea of the location.

Change the fluid, add a transmission cooler, and install a Transgo shift kit. The shift kit will get rid of the slow shifts under power that kills the trans.

I like that but my scan gauge already resides there, maybe I'll move the scan gauge hmmm.
I mounted mine in the glove box.

I'm not a fan of pillar mounts and the bright and rapidly changing numbers typical of AFR gauges drive me nuts if they are in view all the time. Just wanted to be able to close them up when I didn't want to see them and keep a factory look as well.

Just sharing another idea.

Used this pod.

Amazon.com: 2" 52mm Car Universal Dash Dual Gauge Meter POD Mount Holder: Automotive

That is slick however my glove box is full. But someone else might like this.

I had my gauges under the ash tray for awhile but i felt more dangerous when driving since i was always looking down at them.

Now they are within the line of sight of the road on the a pillar and i can watch the road and them at the same time.

Just something to think about

Yeah I'm really thinking my 2 center dash vents are where I'm going to put them. I never use them and the gauges look like they will fit good in there.
