With no job or money and alot of time on my hands, Im running out of things to paint, so I decided to just see what I thought about this 3" body lift I had sitting around. Just planned on putting a block or two under it..
Somehow I did the whole install including radiator drop and bumper lift.
Well, I didn't think I could do it! But I did. And there are only two parts that could use extending. the positive battery leads are pretty tight now, and there is a harder type hose that seems related to my heatercore which I don't quite like it being that tight.
Took it offroading and found some sweet trails, which I believe are 4wheeler trails because my 4runner barely made it through the whole thing. I believe I was the only truck to ever go through.
Anyways, I see NO reason why people are against 3" body lifts. There great, they do not look ridiculously high, though there close, and they make my truck look like it did with a 3" suspension lift and 265's [there 285's now]
However I dont see my self keeping it at this height. With my newly found confidence I will mostlikely cut it down to two inches, so I will also have a 1" block out of it.
I like high trucks [but what some people do to f-250's and such are completely idiotic.]
However this is just past the look im going for. Im very much into the safari type landrover discovery vehicles and like that SEXY PRACTICAL MATURE, amount of lift, not into trying to put the biggest tires I can and go MUD RIDIN.
Its a love hate thing, awesome having my truck sit this high, however Id like to keep it a little more practical. Im off to grab a few pictures, there not on solid ground however, so it may be difficult to see.
