4x4 V6
New member
Hi,
I recently purchased the Borla exhaust kit for my 2003 V6. It arrives today.
A muffler shop that I am planning to install the kit recommends to hot weld the pipe joints. But the Borla warranty says that any welding to the "shell" or "end caps" will void the warranty. I believe the "shell" is the muffler outer wall. I'm not sure what the "end caps" are. The muffler shop claims that the Borla clamps will loosen over time.
What do you guys recommend?
1. Using the Borla clamps to join the pipes together.
2. Allowing the muffler shop to weld the pipe joints together.
3. Find another muffler shop.
Thanks for you advice.
