Many threads out there about dual exhaust. I'm pulling the trigger on the Borla before my wife (boss) changes her mind. Where can I get the best deal?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I got mine from toyotaparts4u.com, that was a long time ago so I am not sure if there are better deals out there. They usually have pretty good prices but I had to email them about it because it wasnt showing up in the parts catalog online but they could get it. Sorry I dont have a price for you, it was so long ago. Hopefully someone else that has purchased it recently will chime in.

Brian:

Thanks for the info. I greatly appreciate your response to the HIDS as well. Obviously, there are differing opinions, which is good like you said. This forum has been a fantastic help in many respects. Question, I read in another post that someone was having an issue purchasing a Borla system for there 2004. Did you have any issues with install? Thanks again.

No prob for the help, I appreciate your info too, I learn something new from this board each time I am on. I had no problems with the install on my '03...i read the post you are talking about and I dont know what the problem could be. I think they should be exactly the same. The install was pretty easy...ya gotta love bolt-on equipment. Let me know if you need anymore info

"ebay has several BRAND NEW for 550 plus 15 bucks shipping. cheap!"

TranceKrayz: Thanks for the heads up. I pulled the trigger.

Anyone in Chicago have the Borla installed?? I would kinda like to hear it before buying it. Does it sound anything like the Mustangs and GTO's?? I love that sound... hahah

Duc Hunter: I believe the Ebay Seller is toyota_accessories and they have one more: Here's the info: $550 plus $15 shipping. No tax, obviously.

2003-2005 4runner Borla Exhaust System
Borla Exhaust Item number: 7950014953

The item shipped this morning FedEx.......... Seems like a great deal.

I just went to the Borla.com website and they say they don't have a part number for a cat back system for the 2003-05 4R V-8.

It says to go to a universal fit system. The one on ebay that zvachalek bought did not give a part number either.

Does anyone who has done the install have a part number from Borla to reference?

Also, does this product affect our warranty?

Ciao, Brian

KMX3060: This is the same cat back system listed on Borla's site for the 03 V8, Part number 140036. Several 04s on this forum with the Borla cat back system with no modifications. In fact, there's a thread that has a post from Borla indicating part #140036 is applicable for the 04. I hope this helps.

Thanks.
When I searched I put in '04 V-8 4X4 Sport as '05 did not bring up anything. I guess the '03 would fit also.

I was concerned as my '05 Sport has the X-REAS and I don't know if the '03 Sport came with it or not. Maybe the suspension doesn't matter.

Seems that Borla should update their catalog, could be missing some sales.

great info here. I would love to see some dyno numbers on it. My Turbo Galant VR-4 loves and exhaust, I got almost 25 hp from it but I know turbo's are very different than Normally Aspirated motors. Anyone seen dyno numbers on the exhaust, esp a curve?

It did and it will fit.

Installed the Borla with no install issues. Took it to a local muffler shop to tweek the rear hangers, moving the exhaust tips a little closer to the mud guards and rear quarter pannels. I'm definitely not going to creep up on any wildlife now. Surprisingly, my wife loves the sound and clearance seems to be fine for off-roading.

has anyone put the borla cat back on the V6? Does it even fit the V-6's? I have an 04 V6 and I would like to hear if anyone has put one on a six banger.
thanks

Obviously when thinking Cat-back, no one expects an increase in HP. One would expect that since the V8 has been around for a few years, that headers would be available?? No luck searching TRD, however.
