Borla Exhaust on 2018 4R Off Road

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently become a 4Runner owner and have been using this forum to help me learn about my new SUV and make decisions on what modifications I should make so I finally decided to make an account. I’m looking to replace the stock exhaust with a cat back and really liked the sound of the Borla cat back. Unfortunately, their website says that the cat back exhaust excludes the Off Road model. Has anyone that owns a 2018 4R Off Road installed this particular exhaust and, if so, were there any complications you came across? I’ve been searching far and wide to see if any Off Road models have had the Borla Exhaust installed but haven’t found anything.

Jump on my thread as we installed a Borla Exhuast on a fiends TRD Prob with no issues.

On the tailpipe hanger you beef to install a spacer which we made out of a 1.25” tube to get it out of the way of the bumper garnish.

I will be installing one on my truck before winter but my plan is to cut and lengthen the hanger to lower it.
