Borla Exhaust

hey guys, I have a 99 4runner 4wd. and im thinkin about getting the borla exhaust for it.
How is it? If anyone has this installed on their trucks, could you tell me is it good? Did you notice any differences in the truck's peformance?
How is the sound of it?

my 4runner already had the Borla on it when i bought it from the dealership so i can't answer any before and after questions. however, i can tell you that it sounds awesome!! it has a nice deep sound to it. a friend of mine liked it so much he got the Borla for his m3 bmw. he installed it himself so i can't imagine it's to hard.

borla is a great company, have you checked out gibson yet? i don't have anything exhaust wise done on my 4r but i had a gibson on my wrangler and it was sweet. gives it more of a growl than a loud bass, perfect blend of macho and moderation...checked online and a complete system for a 4r should run around 275

Yeah, I checked out gibson. They are pretty good. But at my local muffler shop, the guy recommened the borla over the gibson.
Did you see any peformace increase with the new exhaust?

To be honest I can't remember. I had a 4cyl so the gibson was purely for sound.

I installed a Borla on my '90 p/u 4 years ago. Sounds great and the quality is there. I also installed a header at the same time and did notice an increase in performance. If it is within your budget, I would look into going with a exhaust/header combo.

I'm planning on the TRD header/exhaust combo for my 4Runner when I get around to it.
