Bose Synthesis Head Unit Issue

Every once in a while when the vehicle is turned on the radio will lock and not allow the volume to be changed, the radio still functions properly and plays music but neither the dial on the radio itself or the steering wheel controls will allow the volume to be changed. The only way to fix this is to shut off the vehicle and turn it back on.

Is this a known issue? Or is something wrong?

It has happened to some members radios. Instead of turning the truck off, turn the key to the start position, this will cycle the radio on / off but it will not engage the starter. That way, you can do it on the fly.
