boss suspension and caster angles....help I'm ocd

ok I'm gonna go with the toytec boss suspension (ok pretty sure).....anyhow....the more I read about lift's the caster is a big deal....read where a guy had the bilstein lift and went from 3" down to 2" and the angle was way better.....ok my thought's if I'm putting a front bumper and winch (and eventually a rear bumper too) should I start at 3" expecting it to settle out or just set it at 2" and do a 1" body lift? not a fan of body lifts but I am a huge fan of reliability.....that said the front coils are adjustable so should I just wait and see then look into the body lift? does the diff drop really take care of it? also I plan to install a front skid plate that has a door for the oil filter.....does the diff drop screw up the skid plate? again thank y'all very much for any and all suggestions......thank you.....chris

you'll find that the vast majority of people with the 120 chassis, 4runner, gx, etc, will say that a diff drop isn't needed. personally, with three inches of lift, my cv's are angled just below level, so it really isn't a huge issue.

thats the issue with a lot of forums, theres tons and tons of knowledge, some of it overwhelming, when in reality first hand experience will serve you much better. once you get it all done you'll be glad you went the route you've chosen!

What did you end up finding after install? I'm about to go with the Boss kit for my 07.

At 3" your CV's should be fine. You may need to re-clamp them. Caster will be an issue, but it is easily fixed with caster corrected UCA's. So you have nothing to worry about.
