I was feeling a vibration/rumbling from the tires, especially at highway speeds, but it went away when turning slightly left, like changing lanes for example. I brought it into the dealer this morning and it turns out both my front wheel bearings are shot, and according them I probably couldn't have made it much further without a catastrophic failure. I am at 93,000 miles and don't have any mods. The dealer was surprized they went at such low milage.
Luckily they are covered under my warrenty, which is about to expire in a few hundred miles. I am stuck with a rental car (which Toyota paid for) until tomorrow, somewhat putting off my weekend plans, but I am glad I sorted this out before going away and exceeding my warrenty.
I haven't read too much about wheel bearings going on a 4th gen, am I one of the first?
