Bottoming out. I need advice.

I tow occasionally, but never exceed the tongue weight limit, etc. and have bottomed out the rear suspension. Well, went to the lake this past weekend, had 3 other friends, a few suitcases and cooler and I bottomed out multiple times. Rear shocks are fine, no leaking seals, etc. and the stealership said everything is fine. "they're soft for a comfy ride" I'm told. Well, not acceptable and I need more stiffness without air. Any suggestions?

You could look into coilover shocks or helper springs??? Both of which would make the ride more harsh when unloaded, but would give you increased ride control while towing. You my want to talk to or take it to a RV place and talk to the people there. They may have a good suggestion for you.

Good luck

Since the Prado and 4runner share a common chassis, shouldn't the OME prado springs/shocks work on the 4th gen? Anyone try this yet?
