The real kicker is how great of condition it is in. Of the 10 or so TRD superchargers I have been around this one is the absolute quietest by a long shot. At idle, with the hood closed, you cannot even hear it.

For $500 I was expecting a well used piece. Not the case at all.

Overall, I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed. I was expecting some sort of secret candle lit ceremony once I became a member of the SC club (like the video below), but nothing. Oh well...

For Sale is a Second generation TRD 3.4 Supercharger. This comes with the stock supercharger pulley, as well as the dynamic tensioner bracket and pulley. Supercharger has 60k miles on it & will not need a rebuild as the nose cone bearing is tight.

As with anything, worth what someone will pay. Personally, I'd say it's a bit high, but not too far off. Depends on its condition.

1999 4runner limited

I'm not sure if I'm on the right thread, new user but I just bought
my 5th 4runner, just can't get enough of them, this is my newest
one yet, and my question is this one has the RR diff lock, for the
"all wheel drive", and when I push the button, the RR diff lock
light just flashes on the dash, and then, regardless of shifting
from 2wd to 4wd nothing seems any different. Before I joined
this forum I researched this, but was unable to come up with
any conclusions.. and one more thing, one of the pics I saw showed
the diff light, and right next to it another light saying 4wd which
I have not seen... PLEASE HELP...... THANKS

That's not for all wheel drive. The rear diff lock sounds both rear tires at the same speed. It only engages in 4low.

Btw this is the 3rd gen forum, you probably want the 5th gen.

x2. I think you're getting the rear locker confused with the multi-mode option.

And I think he's in the right place, he's saying that this is his 5th 4Runner, not that it's a 5th gen.

In "build" threads I think of-topic in not only OK but often encouraged. I didn't do a build thread but instead did a trails and BS thread. Notice that BS part? I like when people have something to say, rig related or not. Hell, the first two pages of my thread have way more to do with fishing then wheeling. Actually [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] stopped by to correct me and another forum member about some species of fish. lol

I think it all depends on the person who started the thread. I know there's a lot of people who don't like stuff not related to their builds to clutter it up. I can understand that. However, my "build" thread is like you described. It's 10% build, 90% bulls*t. Thus why I moved my response here.

I love seeing this bumper on your 'runner because it gives me a crystal clear idea of what a tube bumper would look like on mine. However, I am still going to have to go with a plate bumper.

This is one of the better looking tube bumpers I've seen though... the thing I really like is those lower tubes you had them add on. They visually (and structurally) connect everything together and make it flow when you look at it. Looks tough man, congrats.

Just got my plate bumper put on...looks so much more aggresive than the tube bumper..Like a Toyota Tank
