Hi I bought a used oem skid plate for my 07 4runner and I got all the hardware with it but the crush nuts that mushroom in the frame. I have been to fastenal hone depot all my local hardware stores and can't find them has anyone else been able to find them. I called my local dealer and toyota does not sell a hardware kit. Thank you for any help.

This is all I have. they are .525 od and use a 3/8-16 bolt. The problem is that they use a rivnut tool to set them. Not sure if you are interested in getting into all of that or not. You should be able to pick up the tool for about $15 to $20 bucks on the high side at Harbor Freight or any tool place or you might have a friend with one you can borrow. if these will work let me know how many you need and I will send them to you.

i ran into this same problem when i bought a used skid plate on this forum.
i got the rivet nut from here: McMaster-Carr
and also bought the "tool" here by just buying the longer sized M8 bolt and a M10 nut. it worked out perfectly.

Those are the same as the ones I was talking about. If you are going to use a longer bolt to set them make sure it's fully threaded or it might not set properly and you will never be able to thread the other bolt into them.
