Loved every moment of that drive on the way home. I've owned 2 3rd gens and as much as I thought I loved those .. They don't compare to this! :-)

Question, what's the supposed story I am hearing about this hydraulic suspension for the Sport Edition?

Looks great! Congrats!

Hydraulic, you must be talking about X-reas. Not all 4runners have them, does yours?

Congrats! Curious how many miles? Any off-road plans? I'd inspect the XREAS real close for leaks... they don't all leak, but it wouldn't be uncommon to find either.

dodder, what morphious said is what I'm hearing and it's what the owner tried explaining. He didn't know much about it either, said it is suppose to be this REALLY nice suspension designed by TRD..? Maybe it's true, I am going to look into it more when I have time. X-reas is what it's called though. Ima check that link out too from morphious

Hey guys is that 4runner door trim uncommon? kevin said he hasn't seen that before

nuclear he did mention and show the paperwork for a recent visit for oil change and inspection. They never told him or mentioned on his invoice that those will need any type of maintenance the "X reas" but I will definitely have someone up here take a closer look at it.

She has 150K on her now that I got her home, I should have made ya guys guess cause she looks like there's less than 100K on her and drives like so also

Idk about offroad plans, I was told that once you compromise the "x reas" suspension you have higher chances of suspension failure.. if that's true I doubt I am going to try lifting it or anything, and it's not as if it doesn't sit decently high already I could live with it.

I have my other toy anyway, a summer car. This is more my trail getter, daily driver, commute, and I'll obviously have fun with her off road cause they're so good at it.

What do guys change on these 4runners anyway?

It's got a Parrott Wireless System in it, which is really cool!

Really nice tires..

I guess I'd be curious to know what people like modding on these generations. Thanks for the insight

From the pictures, i don't see you have a a 4X4 gear box, unless it's located somewhere that's not visible in the pictures. With that said, your limited to off road much anyway :)

I don't think X-reas is TRD driven, now that option is standard on all limited 2010+.

150k WOW man, the car looks new!! What did you end up paying for it if you don't mind me asking.

Danny

Oh well than , i stand corrected :)
My sister's is 2WD, i ass-umed.

morphious so doe all 2wd and 4wd have it? or just 4wd?

All 4th gen Sports (2wd and 4wd) come factory with Xreas, it was an option on Limited's and not available on the SR5's.

There's no maintenance as it's a closed system.

Don't get too caught up in looking for leaks, unless you notice an obvious performance symptom. Mine is at 122k, has been worked extremely hard, shows some signs of shock oil but still corners flat and works fine.

Congrats and enjoy.

Whoa!!! Did you flip her already?? LOL

I love Sport models, If I had the money, I'd totally get one. Yeah, the XREAS is an animal you have to be vigilant on. Mine has it, had it repaired recently and costs big. Good luck!

Nice door sills!! I see them on ebay, I've been looking for lighted ones, but apparently nobody makes them. Oh well...........
