What are the biggest tires I can put on the OE 16's with and without a lift?

The biggest tire you can go with is a 265/75/16 without a lift

I'll probably end up EVENTUALLY with a 3" lift.

What size can I go up to with a 3" lift?

I think I'm going to take the running boards off. I see on yours that there are mounting holes behind it. Is there a factory solution to cover these holes up?

I dont believe so... but i could be wrong.

the stock tire size is a 265/70/16. with a 3" lift you'll be able to fit a 285/75/16 and if you put a body lift on top of that you could squeeze in some 315's with some trimming. I haven't seen a 3rd gen with anything bigger than 315's or 35's.

What does a 265/75 equate to in inches for overall diameter?

265/75s are at 31.8" for most tires but it's generally considered a 32" tire.

correct, so if you get a lift and put on 285's the are pretty much a 33" tire and if you get a body lift as well and feel like running a 35" tire a 315 is pretty close
