Bouncy Truck (VSC, VSC OFF, ABS)
UPDATE: After installing the shocks yesterday, I turn on the vehicle and low and behold VSC, VSC OFF, and ABS lights are on -- CRAP! Unfortunately, I was doing both side at the same time to I can't really pinpoint it to the right or left side. Anyone have any recommendations on how to most efficiently diagnosis.
I've heard about zero point calibration, disconnecting the battery terminals, some brake light switch, etc. I'm think I may have over stretched a wire. Specifically the VSC wire.
Also, some XREAS fluid got on the sensor portion. Would that have triggered these codes? I'm think not because the sensor is constantly exposed to the elements.

About a year ago I installed Daystar’s 2.5/1.5 spacer lift. During the install, I accidently loosen a bolt to one of the XREAS lines while installing the front right spacers. Wasn’t happy about that, but was hoping the system would still be intact.
After the install didn't notice a difference in ride quality from stock.
Then in August of last year I installed 895E’s to give my truck a tad bit more rake in the front as the 2.5/1.5 spacer kit damn near leveled out my truck.
After installing the 895E’s, which are advertised as being 10% stiffer than stock, I noticed my truck was unusually more bouncy than before, i.e. stock and with the Daystar 2.5/1.5.
Questions:
1. So, at ~125K and 9 years later (2004, V8) are my shocks going out? Bought the truck with ~115K, so don’t know what the prior owners did with the vehicle.
2. Did opening the XREAS system cause the shocks to fail? Wouldn’t think so.
3. Did the stiffer springs accelerate the failure of my shocks? I got the preload spacers in front and the 895E’s in the rear.
4. Should I get an alignment after I install the shocks -- not changing anything? Got an alignment last time I did the lift.
Regardless, got 5100’s on order.
