brake disc removal

What's the procedure for removing the brake disc after removing the caliper and hanging it out of the way? It looks like it should slide right off over the lugs, but I can't get it loose. Are the bearings part of the disc so that the castle nut and outer bearing need to come apart before the isc will come off? If not, is it okay to apply heat to the disc to break it loose?

It should slide right off. If you have a rubber or plastic mallet, you can try to gently tap the rotor since it may have a bit of rust between the rotor and hub. Also, not sure if yours have this or not but on the Explorers there are little clawed disks that are on two of the lug nuts that has to be worked off before the rotor will slide off. Good luck.
