Well, I'm now totally confused.
I've got a 2003 4Runner 4L Sport with 17" wheels.
I'll be using Poly-Armour PVF Japanese Brake Line - 3/16"
to replace a section of brake line from under drivers seat right through to the hose above the differential.
Do I use an SAE or Metric brake flaring tool?
Seller #1 says I need metric, ie Cal-Van 154 Metric In Line flaring tool
(the description says it works on 4.75mm, 5mm, 6mm tubing)
3/16" = 4.7625mm
Seller #2 says I need - Cal-Van 164 SAE In-Line Flaring Tool Kit
(3/16", ¼", 5/16" )
What gives?
Should I use the metric tool for any "OE brake line flaring" and the SAE for 3/16 replacement lines?
