I did a search about 4runer brakes because mine were pulsing and made my steering wheel vibrate (like everyone else I read). I work at a toyota dealership so i decided to get them looked at. I have a 2000 4runner and i've had it for a little over a month now. Today i got the brakes checked out and they said that the fronts were 85% and the rears were 90% which baffled me becuase i could still feel the brakes pulse and from what they found, the brakes were still in very good shape. My question is, should i get them resurfaced becuase that seems to be the easy solution to this problem, if so what should i expect to pay?

The condition of the pads has very little to do with the pulsing feeling in the pedal and steering wheel. You have a problem with one of more of the rotors. They are either warped, or have unequal disc thickness which is causing the pulsing. You need to have the rotors turned, if they are not too thin already, or replaced. It is usually wise to replace the pads when turning or replacing the rotors.
