Anyone knows a good site to buy rotors ? I'm looking aftermarket that dont rust!!! my 4R has warped rotors is a better idea to but new ones or just cut them???? thanks in advance...

Good luck finding rotors that don't rust, I think they're all made of cast iron

Depending on how much material is left, I guess you can opt to have them machined and save some money; just make sure your total thickness does not end up less than the minimum afterwards. However, if it was me, I would just replace the rotors with a set of OEM replacements.

I just got some from rockauto.com. Raybestos has a decent rebate on pads and rotors right now. Can't guarantee them not to rust though.

Have them sitting here in a box, now to get them installed. :lookout:

i guess i will buy oem,i have 86 ,000 miles on my 07 and the rotors look pretty good for the age no rust!!!!!4R came with 16 inch wheels and i went n bought fj cruiser 17 inches . im not sure if brakes went bad cuz of the bigger size of tires..

The only rotors that are NOT going to rust are the ones made by Carbon Fiber or Carbon Ceramic. But they are NOT cheap and NOT worth it.

Any rust on a rotor will be gone within seconds after you press the brake pedal.

Not sure about buying on-line. I'd just go to the local parts store and buy a set. There really isn't much science in making rotors. My local parts store carried 3 different rotors for the 4runner at different price levels. The ONLY difference between them was the thickness. I went for the thicker rotors.

X2 for rock auto they're cheaper than the local parts store. I wouldn't waste your money on anything other than just a basic rotor.

Thank you everyone!!! I've decided to just cut them rotors and buy OEM pads i hope the vibration goes away,, it only vibrates when i hit the brakes at 60mph

All rotors are not made the same. Some cheap ones are made in china and are very bad about warpping. Stay with name brands and make sure they aren't made in china. Also torque wheel lugs evenly with the torque listed in the manual.

Some cheap ones are made in china and are very bad about warpping.

Warping has more to do with thickness of rotor then where they are made. The more expensive (no matter where they are made) are thicker. And thus they don't warp as easily.
