Brake light wiring

So, my rear break lights are not responding, while the top break light is.

There is no fuses blown or bulbs out, so i'm guessing its something with wiring. Which i have no idea where to look.

I fixed my o2 sensor a few days ago and by doing this i had to disconnect the negative battery cable, when i reconnected the battery cable my alarm kept going off and had no idea how to stop it so i kept messing with the switch which is under my steering wheel (right below the little vent) and i'm guessing i hit a wire or something that is making my break lights stay off.

How would i fix this? and why would my 2 rear ones go out and not the top one?

A switch on the break pedal itself? i couldn't find it, is it possible my 4runner might not have that? :wtf:

Yo bro I wish I could help you with the brakes, not sure what to tell you other than the switch is located on the brake pedal linkage up and to the left of the actual pedal. Follow the wires, you may find your issue. Other than that, all I can say is don't bother disconnecting the neg bat cable anymore. Generally '96 and newer vehicles have to go through a relearn process, alarms get confused and stereo sometimes need to have a code entered. PIA. In the shop I work in we make it a habit to forgo the batt. disconnect. If you have a multi meter you can see were you are getting power in the brake circuit.
