My front brake lines popped while in traffic and the pedal went straight to the floor, so now i'm in need of replacing both my brake lines and pants. It's currently at my friends house so I don't have easy access to it, but I had a few questions...
1. Does anyone know how long the OEM front brake line is? I biked over to Oriley's and they had a centric line, where the rubber hose was 6.5" long and had an overall length of 9". This seems significantly shorter than the OEM one, can anyone confirm? My research finds that the oem one runs 10" long.
2. I've read that the OEM line is good for up to a 3" lift. Is this true? Or should I bite the bullet and go for extended lines?
3. Is SS worth the upgrade for offroading? Getting conflicting info, where it is better, but since you can't see the damage done, it can be quite terrifying.
Thanks!
