Brake pad overhang

As i was starting to do my brakes, I noticed that the pads have about an 1/4" inch overhang on the brake disc. Now, the caliper looks to be the original. When i was getting ready to install new disc and pads, i still noticed that there was still some overhang. Pads and Disc were purchased from O'Reillys.

4runner is a 1994 2wd auto, with 154k. stock.


any ideas or suggestions.


also, where can i find the part number on the caliper to ensure it is the correct one. and should i be getting pads from toyota?

I have not, haven't had much time to research it tho between school, work, and my engine swap I'm in the middle of. If I find anything before you tho I'll definetely let you know
