Brake Pads

Hello all,

Happy Holidays!

I am getting ready to change my brake pads on my 98, 3.4 liter 4runner. This is a first time change, 80K miles. I was never satisfied with braking power from day one when I bought the car new.

1- What is a good high end brake pad, or should I get the OEM part?
2- Should I change the rotor or just turn them down, I am sure it will be up to spec since this is the first change.

Many thanks your help!!!

If you do the Tundra Brake upgrade be sure to Read if your rims will fit the larger Caliper, or if you would need to do some minor grinding.

I'd suggest to turn your rotors and get OEM brake pads. Then if later on you decide you need more braking power, upgrade to the Tundra Brakes.
