I drive a 2006 V6 Sport 4Runner. Anyone experience a problem with the panic brake assist feature in their 4Runner. It makes the brakes feel touchy and sensitive and it’s not a pleasant feeling!! I noticed this issue for awhile back and decided to get all rotors and pads replaced, thinking they needed replacing to fix this issue. After the full brake job the brakes still randomly become super sensitive. This brake sensitivity is intermittent, it comes and goes.
Is there an easy fix to this? Can I disable this feature? Some kind of module that needs replacing?
