Brake pedal feel.

I changed the brake fluid early (just under 2 yrs on OEM fluid), since I was doing so on another vehicle.

Used the entire 32 oz bottle of Lucas Oil DOT 3. Brake pedal feels firmer now, although maybe it's just in my head - could be just relief that the vehicle hasn't blown up :lmao:

It's no surprise changing fluid would make the brakes feel better. Brake fluid over time absorbs ambient water so it makes the fluid less effective. Also, as you wear down your brake pads the pistons need to displace more fluid so changing the fluid usually means you are putting back in the optimal amount of fluid in the system. Changing brake fluid every 2-3 years is a good routine.

That’s a good point about fluid amount. I’ll have to remember to get some fluid out of the reservoir with a turkey baster when it’s time to change pads, just in case.

Installed F & R braided brake lines... made a big difference in pedal feel.

I was wondering if this would help at all. I hate the feel of our brake pedal.

Can you link which braided brake lines you purchased?
