brake pedal noise

Every time I depress the brake pedal on my 2008 Urban Runner, I hear a hissing air sound - it sounds as if air is being released each time I press the brakes.

Does anyone know what this is or know if it's normal? I took it to the dealer and the dealer claims the other 08 Urban Runner on the lot made the same noise and there was no issue.

The noise is driving me crazy.

thanks for sharing.

despite it happening to a number of other people, I still find it hard to believe that toyota intended to have a noise like that. I have no signs of it affecting the braking of the vehicle, it just bothers me when the radio is off.

I'm hoping someone reads the post and says they got it fixed.

Does anyone out there have an 08 Urban Runner that doesn't make the brake noise?
