brake pedal noise

Every time I depress the brake pedal on my 2008 Urban Runner, I hear a hissing air sound - it sounds as if air is being released each time I press the brakes.

Does anyone know what this is or know if it's normal? I took it to the dealer and the dealer claims the other 08 Urban Runner on the lot made the same noise and there was no issue.

The noise is driving me crazy.

Sounds like the brake booster. I don't think that's normal if the noise is audible

if it is a light swoosh sound from inside the cabin, it is the brake pedal. Mine is noticeable if I have the music off, but it never bothers me that much, mostly because I have music on. Nothing wrong, just normal I believe. The Buzzing you here at start up, and at stops after braking, is the brake booster. It is normal for it to make this noise. Hope this helps.

Yes. The actual brake pedal inside the cabin does make an annoying swoosh sound sometimes...go figure.
