Can anyone else please chime in on this issue? My brake pedal vibrates every 3rd or 4th time I apply the brakes (regardless of speed). No lights, buzzers, or sounds...just the electronic vibration. I know it's normal at startup (ABS or Traction Control "self-check"), but is it normal on a continual basis as you drive around the neighborhood? It's extremely annoying. It happens each 3rd or 4th time I come to a stop and lasts from about 3-5 seconds.

I told them it's not normal for the brake pedal to vibrate every 3 or 4 times I press on it, so please fix it.
I also copied all the pages out of the manual (related to Brakes, Traction Control, and VSC), and hi-lighted all areas that talked about buzzes, alarms, and vibrations. I gave it to the service advisor to eliminate potential BS, in case they wanted to tell me it was normal.
They had to special order a new Master Cylinder Assembly but they replaced it, no questions asked.
Apparently, quite a few 4runners have this problem and many dealers are telling owners it is normal. Probably because it's expensive to replace.
I'm not aware of a TSB on this.

I don't know how I missed this before but I'm glad I came across this thread. The dealer replaced the front rotors and pads a few months ago due to some vibration when braking and the problem is still there, just haven't had a chance to get back to the dealer yet. This decribes the problem exactly though. I was originally thinking it may be master cylinder related but didn't mind trying the rotors and pads on Toyota's dime first. I'll have to push for this fix next!

I purchased a used 2003 SR5 in January and noticed the brake pedal vibration right away. Thanks to this forum I was able to diagnose the problem and bring some info to the dealer. They agreed there was a problem and also agreed it was probably the master cylinder. They replaced the master cylinder today and the vibration is gone. On the repair sheet they said they found a leak in the master cylinder. I am not sure if that is really what they found or if it is how they justified it to Toyota

Hey I have a 2003 V8 and have had vibrations in the brake pedal aswell, but moreso to this I have a really loud annoying buzzer going off and numerous indicator lights going off. imgur: the simple image sharer
I did a brake flush thinking it could be water in the brake line but that did nothing.
Did replacing the master cylinder fix this problem for you?
Im desperate, this sound is unbareable and seems to only occur in cold weather...problem is I live in a cold Canadian city and its always going off haha.
