My wifes '01 SR5 4x4 keeps warping front rotors. I replace them and they last about 6 months and then start pulsating again. Lately, they've been quite bad, but I just didn't have the money to replace them. Yesterday the "VSC" and "TRAC" lights, as well as the check engine light all came on. could that be caused by the issue with the brakes since these systems utilize the brakes and brake sensors to operate? I'm going tonight after work to buy new pads and rotors (again) and will have the guys at the parts store check for codes. what's the deal with this? I know about the brake upgrade to the Tuntra parts (I think it was the Tundra), but I have 15" wheels, so that won't work. Aside from buying $250 rotors from Toyota, is there anything that I can do? This truck does not get beat on at all, has 90k miles, and it just seems ridiculous that in 3 years and 40k miles I've gone through 4 sets of pads/rotors.

May not be warped rotors
You may have stuck pistons in the brake calipers. They will make the pad drag against the rotor and glaze the surface. It happened to my 2003 4runner while under warranty several years ago. They replaced the calipers.
During the last few years, I also replaced the rotors (4 times) thinking I kept getting warped rotors, turns out it was just pad glazing causing the pedal pulsation. I installed a very expesive set of NAPA Adaptive One pads (front and rear) and knocked the glaze off the rotors using a drill mounted wire wheel.
I haven't had pedal pulsation in 8 months.
