Brake questions - tundra parts vs 5th gen parts?

I need new brake pads and rotors resurfaced. Upgrade time? Any good links to these swaps? I haven't found much...I'm not too worried about the install details, just performance of each.

only the 3rd gen could use the tundra brakes. so either you can go with say a powerstop kit, which i run, and i love it. or you can get the 5th gen parts and gain minimal performance for more caliper life, so we hope.

I've read of FJs and 2nd gen Tacos doing tundra brakes, should be the same as 4th gens?

I have never seen any 120/150 platform vehicle with the tundra brakes. They're already pretty much the same as ours. I really don't see how it would add any thing. The brakes on our trucks are already enormous for their size and weight. Shown by the stopping distance compared to competing vehicles. If you want more performance out of them youre most likely going to A) go to the larger size on the sport/ optioned on the limited. B) go with like a powerstop or hawk or ebc pad and rotor kit. C) goto the 5th gen front brakes (rears are the same). D) go to the larger size (if you don't already have it) and get a performance set of pads and rotors.

I'm not really trying to give it racing brakes, but I figured I'd do an upgrade while I'm in there doing brakes. Mine is shuddering badly under braking, and I know it needs pads soon. I keep reading of seized pistons in the calipers causing this, so I'm just looking at all my options if I'm gonna be replacing parts...
Mine is an SR5, so I know I can go bigger...
