Brake Rotor size warning- Advanced Auto

Just a warning to those out there like me that buy at Advanced Auto stores....

Their parts system and website have REVERSED the rotor sizes for the 16" and 17" wheels (at least that's what the local manager figured).

I purchased rotors for my 17" front wheels on my 04 4runner LTD, but they were about 1" too large in diameter. The ones they have listed for the 16" match the OEM perfectly.

Make sure you always compare the rotors!

I usually do, but didn't this time

It's being taken care of, and the mgr sent it to corporate HQ to research and correct the part numbers, but wanted others to be careful, and check the 16" wheels rotors if the 17's aren't right.

Bet they were rotors for a Sport Ed.

Sounds about right. Seems strange that the V6 would have larger brakes than the V8, but they *certainly* wouldn't fit

The Sport Edition has bigger rotors than those for the SR5 and Limited. Engine size and wheel size aren't factors - it's the trim level.
