Brakes dragging on all 4 wheels

The brakes on my 06 4 runner started dragging recently. I spun all 4 wheels and to my shock, all 4 are dragging, not just one!! I've never heard of such a thing, usually it's one caliper sticking.

This appears to be coming from the master cylinder. It's the only logical explanation for all 4 wheels to be dragging.

Any suggestions? My only thought is to bleed the brakes. Maybe fresh fluid will cause the seals to release and allow the master cylinder to retract as it should.

Strange!! What is the mileage and condition of the fluid? I’m new to T4R issues since I purchased my first Friday before Christmas (07 V6 43,000 mi certified). In over 40 years of diagnosing, researching and wrenching I have found very few problems to be a first. Have you talked with the Service Writers and Techs at your local Dealer and other shops? Otherwise, I feel you are starting at the right point since all 4 are dragging.

I had one front to start to drag on my 1993 Explorer only on Mondays (riding my breaks delivering Meals On Wheels and looking for addresses). It caught on fire due to the heat with no real damages. Replacing the 2 front brake lines and flushing as recommended solved the problem since one side was dragging. Last, checks for derbies or metal scores in the master cylinder that w/n allow it to fully return. Good Luck! jow
