Brakes Help

Well started to get my brakes sorted on my 97 4runner and me and a friend that was helping me got a little carried away during disassembly got the new rotors in and went to put the pads in and cannot figure out which is the inner and which are the outer pads. any advice would be great to figure out which is which

I have noticed that usually the pads with the indicator tab is the inner face. But to be honest, i don't think it matters.
 
hmmm ok well that is kind of what we thought as well but have noticed a lot of noise from the front end area i know stuff takes a little to set in but i did not think they would be making noise like this it almost sounds like the dust shields are hitting the rotors
 
If you can't find any indicator and are worried, try switching them around a few times and see what happens. If it fixes it, then you know it was wrong. I've never had a significant amount of front-end noise from new brakes.
If you think it's a dust shield issue then try taking the wheels off and spinning the rotors and see if you notice any touching. When I did the Tundra upgrade I had to trim the dust shield because it was rubbing the rotor. Sounded like old squeaky brakes times 10.
 
ok the pads are in the proper locations and it no longer screams like a banshee due to the dust shield rubbing on the rotor. final problem that i am running into is the abs light is coming on jumping pins on the diagnostic connector it gives the abs code of 32 which should be the drivers front speed sensor the sensor appears to be clean i did wipe it just to be sure the cog that is inside appears to be clean it seats flush with no problems nothing falling into the cavity when inserting it putting a meter on the connector between pins 1 and 2 i get about 1.5k ohms which is good i am stumped as to what is the problem. pulled a bit of fluid out when i was changing the pads so i could compress the pistons without fluid going everywhere after everything said and done it is not at the max mark but is well above the min mark. any hints or ideas as to why it would just go stupid when i changed the rotors and pads or what steps i need to go through to sort the issue out
