brakes...still bad?

I searched brakes but never found anything more than a few people who had some warped rotors.

Are the 4th gen brakes as notorious for warping like the 3rd gens were?

Some do have problems but overall it's not very widespread. I am confident that any rotors can be warped with effort. Having said that there are very few reports of warped rotors on 4th gens which I interpret to mean one of two things: 1) They don't warp easily or early. Another way of saying that is they warp but slowly and minimally and the warpage is within peoples expectations. 2) They don't warp as a rule.
