Brakes suddenly !

my 2001 had a problem. Sometimes when in a curve the warning beeps &Slip indicate light will come on .When this happens it like the brakes are applied.
Feel like the engine is shut down also but then recovers . Anyone else had this happen>

It's vehicle skid control (VSC) kicking in. VSC has the ability to apply the brakes on each individual wheel and reduce engine power if it senses that vehicle is traveling off its intended path due to the lost of traction.

Thats the problem , I don't feel any loss of traction and tires are new.I understand this is not my 911 but would think it would take a easy curve at 50mph......

You might want to check on your wheel speed sensors, ABS system, and maybe the Yaw rate sensor. That, or the zero point calib. needs to be reset? Just possibilities.

Depends on what kind of a road you are driving on and what type of curve it is.

I think someone already mentioned that you might have to recalibrate the "Yaw" sensor
