? Brakes tighten when turning ?

A question.

I have a 1994 V6 4X4 with about 160,000 miles.

When I apply my brakes then turn the wheel (as in braking when coming to an intersection, then turning right or left while still braking) the brakes bind a little tighter and the brake pedal pushes up against my foot. The only way for me to brake smoothly while entering a turn is to begin braking as usual while I am rolling straight ahead, then let up on the brakes just as I turn the wheel. If I don't let off the brakes at this time, the car will suddenly brake harder as I turn the wheel. I'm not talking about while racing around or offroading, just normal, everyday city driving.

I hope I've made this clear.

BTW, I don't work on the working parts of the car myself, but I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem/ knows a solution.

Sounds to me like you are pinching a brake line somewhere when you turn...

If you don't work on your brakes yourself, I'd highly suggest taking your truck in for service asap.

The last place you want to cut a brake line is when you're going into a turn...

i agree with Overdrive, this sounds serious and if you don't work on your truck, take it to a local shop ASAP. before getting on the road make sure your e-brake works too.
