I have an 03 V8 sport with about 110k miles on it and it has the front shimmy when on the brakes (warped rotors I would guess). They've been turned once so I figure I might as well just replace them. Couple of questions:

What places have good prices on parts?

Is this a relatively easy job? Basically pull the calipers, couple bolts for the rotors, retaining clips for pads, replace all and reverse. I've done quite a bit of work on motorcycles, but not much on cars. should be similar principles though.

You got it down. just remember you have bigger brakes than the SR5 so be sure to the right size rotors.

You got the basics of it down.

1. Remove the wheels.
2. Remove the clips off the two pins. Take the two pins out, and remove the anti-rattle spring. I like to take a C-clamp and compress the pistons back into the caliper now (at the tabs of the pads that hold pins in place). Remove the pads.
3. Remove the bolt that holds the brake line on the spindle arm.
4. Remove the two bolts that hold the caliper to the spindle. The torque spec for these bolts for reassembly is 91ft-lbs.
5. There are two bolt holes 180* degrees apart from each other on the hub area of the rotor. You can use two bolts to pop the rotor off if it's stuck. I think the bolts are 8mmx1.25.

Wheel lugs are 83ft-lbs.
