Brand New to 4Runner Off-Road

Hi, im new here and I know almost nothing about my 4runner. However it is an 05 sr5 v8 4runner black. I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on how to offroad? What buttons and switches to i need to push or turn? How should i handle what conditions, and one specific question i have is (button on left of steering well, center locking differential? what is this, what does it do, when do i use it)? Thanks!!

I'm pretty new too, but there is a whole subforum for offroading. They have a thread near the top about the basics of off road. Good Luck.
