I think it's the Bolivar (Venezuela, judging by the .ve and the end of the URL). Around $0.16. But I'm having a hard time understanding the price, as in, the nomenclature of it. If it's really Bs.45k, it might be more expensive than our 4Runners! If it's only Bs.45.500,00 then it's dirt cheap.

Well, in Brazil, he could buy this one:
Snorkel - Snorkel - Hilux 2006 em diante - Snorkels - Toyota Hilux - Equipamentos para Off-Road - Armazem 4x4 for R$1.078,15 (1078.15 Brazilian Real equals 347.62 US Dollar) which is a lot more reasonable. This for a 2006+ HiLux truck, but I'd bet there is one for the 3G in the mud rally.
EDIT: Here is one with a front intake on a HiLux SW4 like mine, only R$600,00 or US$193,93:

Driver side works better on the sweet Argentine Mercedes Turbo Diesel they sell in the Brazilian market.

Figure probably cost around $150 to ship it with DHL.. So that's not too bad I guess for something nobody has in the states. If I had the money to blow I'd do it. I need to start making connections in Brazil and Japan or just take a trip to both places and come back with a bunch of Hilux and Surf goodies lol

Yep, that's what I got. Gonna ask my Venezuelan friend if that is in fact how the prices work there.
EDIT: Basically, yeah, that's the internet price. He did tell me no one there wants the Bolivar, so, on the streets, you can buy them out for cheaper. But would still be around $1k.

Only used OEM parts for Surfs are cheap in Japan. Anything from a store is going to be full price. All the companies out here publish annual sales magazines and the stores charge the price listed in them...no discounts.
Living in Japan, it's cheaper for me to buy aftermarket parts from the US and have them shipped over than it is to buy anything here. Silly.
If you're looking for anything OEM I can check local junkyards for Surf stuff. There's not much difference between ours and yours. We have the FMU and factory mount rear tire carrier, but that's about it.
Only other perk here is the turbo diesel engine... :thumb:

That's quite ridiculous, but wouldn't be necessarily looking for all OEM stuff. You guys have a bunch of little random goodies for these vehicles too.
