Break in Period before 4wheeling

Just curious as to how long one should wait before going 4wheeling on easy trails (not rock climbing or anything heavy) with a fairly new runner (2000 miles on the odometer).

You've got an 2003 with 2000 miles? Geez, you think you drive it enough? :

I think after you go through the normal break-in period of 1000 miles, you should be ok with offroading.

To answer your question I'd say you'll be fine on easy trails, for sure.

I wheeled mine about 45 minutes after I left the dealer lot. I hate tire shine, had to remove it. Nothing to hard, just a fire road.

Let me refrase the Q.

A friend of mine has a New 2006 Limited. He was contemplating taking it off road. I told him he should inquire about the break in period prior to taking the truck off road.
Yeah, I wished my '03 had 2k on it. it would become a collectors car and 20 years from now sold for 4 million dollars on Barrett Jackson Clasic auction.

my runner had less than 60 miles on the odometer and it was being wheeled already... couldnt wait, first 4wd truck!

I had about 80 mile's on my 06 when it hit the trail's. Just went again tonite for a short little bit in the new fresh snow.

Light 4 wheeling is required for the proper mental break-in of the purchaser.
