Brightest off-road lights?

I have PIAA 540 super white driving lights uninstalled, but I heard from another forum that PIAA lights aren't the greatest. I heard something about Hella having the brightest and best lights.

I'm looking to mount four lights on my bumper, since no one in the would makes a bar large enough for four lights for a 3rd gen T4R! I want two fog (yellow) and two driving. No preference on the beam color for the driving lights. I just think super/hyper white look better with the headlights I'm currently running.

So what's the best? The brightest? Shines the furthest?

I have Hella 500, i bought them at walmart for like $58 or something, they look ok, one cracked offroading, they probably are not aimed correctly, and i dont know how they perform compared to other lights. They seem to be about as bright as the stock headlights.

Sorry i cant give you more info

the problem with bright lights is anything above 55w is illegal so the 540s i think are as bright as you can get without a ticket.

but if you still want bright, check out KC Daylighters. those are i believe 85w and blinding. all i know is that my set-up is ridiculous and blinding on road and off-road im basically a lighthouse. (i have 8 total lights up front)

I agree with the Lightforce suggestion. You can get into their lower end lights without too much pain but if want the good stuff that will turn night into day...it's gonna cost you bookoo $$$. :bigok:

At first glance, I thought that was a Ford Expedition forum link you posted... and I was about to strongly suggest that you be put on double secret probation for frequenting the forum and ask that the moderators create a MAN LAW against mentioning a Ford product in this forum ever again.

Ever.

No, really. EVER.

:D

:iagree:

If I ever mention the "Fxxx word" on this forum then I will gladly accept what ever prison term is dispensed.

I would never intentionaly redirect anyone to a known Fxxx website.:biggrin2:

Finally some long awaited action! Thanks guys. I'm not sure I want to pay near $800 for each HID light. That's a little crazy! I do like the style of non HID lights they offer, I'll have to look into it.
Ironadrenaline- I am looking for illegal, off-road lights! I only plan on using them off road or in the sticks. Not sure I like the look of the day lighter. They look old school and remind me of Domestic trucks, which I'm not a fan of. I'll stick with my PIAA's or maybe check out some Lightforce's.

go for it. the day lighters were the first to pop into my mind. i forgot about lightforce. and if you want illegal, go big. light up the world because in my case ive got 8 headlights all perfectly aimed haha.
